Site-Responsive Artist,
Sculptor & Cultural Producer
I create site-responsive sculptures and environments that explore how land, space, materials, and people hold, share and morph memory. My work can begin with an empty room, a landscape, a stage or a community. I work with a place to develop something that both belongs there and / or makes us see it differently.
Trained in textile design and theater production, I draw on the language of traditional craft alongside a long-standing practice with light, weaving these influences into a contemporary, material-led practice. My work moves between large-scale sculpture, installation, scenography, and participatory projects, creating environments where material, place, and human presence shape one another.
Land, Light and Identity: As a second-generation immigrant who has lived across borders, my work is fueled by questions of belonging, boundaries, language, and the invisible histories embedded within landscapes and communities. Working predominantly with organic and found materials, I treat them as carriers of memory and collaborators. My lifelong sensitivity to light has also deeply shaped my practice. To me, natural and artificial light are equally material, teacher and experience.
I work with site stewards across galleries and cultural organisations, landscapes, buildings, public spaces and communities. I listen deeply to a place to find something of what it silently remembers.
